With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of this beloved actor. He just died from bowel cancer at the age of 46

The theater world is mourning.

Ben Lewis, a celebrated West End actor known for The Phantom of the Opera and Love Never Dies, has died at age 46 after battling incurable bowel cancer.
The news was shared by his friend Todd Woodbridge, who remembered Lewis as a talented performer and a deeply kind person.

Lewis was diagnosed in February 2024, and although he underwent major surgery and intensive chemotherapy, the cancer spread to multiple organs. Born into a musical family, he trained in London and Australia and built a successful international career, earning awards and acclaim for his performances.

Adding to the tragedy, Lewis had also been the primary caregiver for his wife, actress Melle Stewart, who suffered a severe stroke in 2021.
He is survived by her and his family. His impact on the theater community and fans remains profound.
